Djuma Private Game Reserve is situated in the remote northeast corner of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park. This area, with no dividing fences between the reserves, forms a magnificent ecosystem supporting a wealth of game species. Renowned for excellent sightings of the Big Five, Djuma is only ninety kilometres from Eastgate Airport. An airstrip is also available in the vicinity for those who prefer to fly in.

Within Djuma Private Game Reserve, guests are offered the choice of three luxury safari lodges: the unique Vuyatela Lodge, the magnificent Bush Lodge and the private Galago.
All three lodges have experienced and qualified guides that will ensure the best possible safari.

Vuyatela Lodge has 8 luxury suites, each with a separate lounge, dressing room, spacious bathroom and an outdoor shower. The lodge is a celebration of modern South Africa in all its intricate glory with an extensive collection of contemporary African artwork. Traditional mosaics and wall murals sit alongside high-design furnishings. You can sip cocktails from your private pool while watching wild animals meander in front of you. There is also a library, gym and a wellness centre at the Lodge for the convenience of guests.

Bush Lodge is a rather special lodge, with eight thatched chalets tucked away in our indigenous gardens. The main building is an impressive open thatched construction with viewing decks. It overlooks the pool next to the wildlife rich watering hole. Bush Lodge has operated for more than ten years and is famous for its easy, friendly, family atmosphere. This is where the Djuma hospitality tradition of service excellence within exquisite surroundings began.

Galago Camp, named for the “lesser bushbaby”, offers groups of up to 10 guests an entire camp with total exclusivity and self-catering accommodation in five colonial-style bedrooms. Expansive views including waterholes are an important feature of Galago Camp. The Galago safari experience includes a guide and tracker and an open private game-viewing vehicle. Galago is serviced and you can also employ a chef to cook for you.

We do our utmost best to show our guests the splendid sights and sounds of the African savannah without disturbing Nature unnecessarily. Rates for Vuyatela Lodge and Bush Lodge are inclusive of all meals, tea and coffee, two safaris daily, optional walking safari, all beverages excluding premium wines from our wine cellar, laundry service, road transfer from Arathusa Airstrip to the Lodge.

Galago Camp is an exclusive private camp, self catered, maximum 10 guests on minimum 3 night stay.
