JACI'S LODGES
These two exeptional, privately owned lodges will exceed all your safari expectations.
Situated in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve, Jaci’s Lodges boast 75’000 hectars of Big Five territory. One can also expect to see Wild Dog, Black and White Rhino, Sable, Gemsbok, Giraffe and Springbok, as well as over 340 species of birds.
Jaci’s Safari Lodge and Jaci’s Tree Lodge invite you to share the African Wilderness in the exclusive luxury of one of the magnificent lodges.
Jaci’s lodges are situated at an ideal spot, overlooking an established and well-used water hole, under a grove of Tamboti trees, on the edge of the Marico River.
The main complex is different, open plan, curved around a huge anthill and under shady trees.
Meals come from an ultra modern kitchen, in full view of the dining area. Dinners are eaten outside around an open fire in the boma, under the stars.
Upstairs there is also a quiet reading space, as well as a ethnic craft shop.
Arrive by air from Johannesburg, on a 45minute flight, or enjoy a scenic 3 and half hour drive to the reserve.
Jaci’s Safari Lodge features only eight large rooms and the exclusive Nare Suite, all built with shaggy thatched roofs, canvas walls and large tented windows, which create a true safari atmosphere. Early risers may catch a glimpse of bush babies returning to roost in the trees around the rooms or enjoy the morning Francolin calls.
Lounge at the pool or enjoy bird watching from the bank of the Groot Marico River.
Jaci’s Tree Lodge offer eight tree houses, each encompassing a giant Tambotie or Leadwood Tree.
Each tree house is constructed on forest stilts, up to 6 metres above the ground.
An open plan, en-suite bathroom with an enourmous stone bath and outdoor “jungle shower” allows you to enjoy your forest surroundings.
Relax in the deck in front of your room, in the main lodge, or wander to the forest pool to cool off.
